SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASSES
Adult Classes
There are multiple Sunday School classes for adults to be involved in at CBC. Each of these classes is taught by various church Elders and focus on specific topics that apply to everyday life.
Homebuilders
The Homebuilders Sunday School class is designed for our young married couples and is taught by Pastor David Whitcomb. The Homebuilders enjoy gathering at each others' homes for Christian fellowship, finding creative ways to have an outreach in the community, and getting involved in every aspect of the local church ministry.
Career
CBC has a number of people serving in the Career class. From seminary students to laypeople, this class has something for everyone.
College
The College class meets together for Sunday School, ministers at area nursing homes, and has its own singing ensemble.
Teens
The Teen ministry is led by Pastor Andrew and his wife Elisabeth. They meet every Sunday for Sunday school as well as every Wednesday night at 7pm for teen Bible study. They gather for SNAC (Sunday Night After Church) meetings once a month at the church or in a church member's home as well as do 1-2 other activities and/or service projects a month.
Children's Sunday School
Community Baptist provides Sunday School classes for children of every age. From 2 years old through the 6th grade, each child attends a class with others in his own age group to learn pertinent Bible lessons from great teachers. Every Sunday, the elementary children meet for Children's Choir. Junior Church is also provided during the Sunday services.
NURSERIES
Community Baptist Church offers both infant and toddler nurseries. These nurseries are kept in pristene condition by our loving and thoughtful crew members.
ADULT MINISTRIES
Overcomers
Overcomers is a ministry for the men of Community Baptist. Periodically throughout the year meetings and dinners will be held for all CBC men in order to encourage and challenge them as husbands, fathers and spiritual leaders.
Men's prayer meeting
There is a prayer meeting held in the church office building every Wednesday morning from 6:30-7:30 and is open to men of any age group.
Men's Sports
Each year CBC organizes a softball team to play in the Greenville church league. Great exercise. . .great fellowship!
Secret Prayer Sisters
All ladies of the church are welcome to participate in this ministry of encouragement through prayer, small gifts and cards.
Ladies' Bible Study
Ladies, you won't want to miss this seasonal Bible study led by Mrs. Whitcomb. This Bible study is open to all Greer area ladies and meets at the church by season on Tuesdays from 10:00 a.m.-11:30 a.m.
FMO
"Family Missionary Outreach" is an integral ministry of CBC. Every Spring and Fall the church will gather together for a meal and program that focuses on one of our missionaries or on a particular mission field.
Dinner for Eight
This dinner rotation helps the couples of Community Baptist to get to know other members of the church that they otherwise might miss on a week to week basis.
