Community Outreach
Rescue Mission
Once a month, various groups from Community Baptist hold a service at the Greenville Rescue Mission. Each service includes congregational singing, vocal offerings and an evangelistic message. The CBC Choir also provides the Mission with an annual Christmas Musical which takes place just after Thanksgiving.
Nursing Home
Community Baptist Church seeks to minister God's grace to those in need of special medical attention. The youth group, college class, and many others minister at several area nursing homes. From formal services to one on one fellowship, this ministry is as benefitial to the giver as it is to the recipient. In a day when our culture gives little time to the wisdom that comes with age, Community Baptist Church seeks to honor the principle of Leviticus 19:32--"You shall stand up before the gray head and honor the face of an old man, and you shall fear your God: I am the LORD."
Jail Ministry
Each week men and women from Community Baptist Church visit the inmates of the Greenville County Detention Center. They hold evangelistic Bible studies and disciple those who have come to know Christ as their Savior.
Shepherd's Gate
Once a month a group of ladies minister to women who find themselves homeless because of various reasons. A Bible lesson is shared, hymns are sung and prayers are offered to the Lord. “He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.” Psalm 147:3
