Student Ministries
At Community Baptist Church, we offer both Middle School (6th-8th graders), and Senior High (9th – 12th graders) classes. Both are very active groups! The teen years are a very critical time. Our goal is to equip teens with the ability to study and apply God's Word for themselves and to know what it means for their lives. We also offer teens the opportunity to encourage and fellowship with one another in our classes and activities.
Middle School
We meet for Sunday school each week at 9:30 am. During this time, we explore different Biblical topics together with relevant application to middle school students' lives today.
On Wednesday nights we have a time of prayer, teaching, and games. We study together through a Biblical topic or book to understand how God’s Word applies to our lives. Once a month we visit a local Senior Living home to minister to the residents and encourage them with the truths that the Lord is teaching us.
We have activities once a month as well. From water activities in the summer to Christmas parties or joint activities with the Senior High like "Underground Church", we seek to make these times to get to know each other better so that we can encourage one another to grow in a pursuit of knowing Christ.
Senior High
We meet for Sunday school each week at 9:30 am. During this time, we explore different Biblical topics together with relevant application to teen’s lives today. During the summer, we do a book study together. This is a time of personal study during the week and then sharing with each other during the Sunday school hour what we have learned from the predetermined topic.
On Wednesday nights we meet starting at 7:00 pm and have a time of singing, prayer, teaching, and games. We study together through a Biblical topic or book to understand how God’s Word applies to our lives now and in the future. Once a month we visit a local Senior Living home to minister to the residents and encourage them with the truths that the Lord is teaching us.
We meet once a month on a Sunday night after church for a SNAC (Sunday Night After Church) fellowship. During this time, we eat, play games, sing songs, and share testimonies of God’s work in our lives.
Also, once a month we get together for an activity. This could be anything from game nights, all-nighters, ice-skating, bowling, and more! The activities are always changing but always fun! These are great times of fellowship among the teens and their peers.
